Salina Tech continues growth as enrollment surpasses 1,000 students enrolled for the third year.
Based on the Census Day data from the Kansas Board of Regents, Salina Area Technical College enrolled 1,017 students this fall, a .9% increase from the previous Fall 2024 data disclosing 1,008 headcount enrollment.
Full-time Equivalency (FTE) increased from 568 to 574 which indicated 1.1% growth from the previous year. FTEs convert part-time student enrollment into full-time equivalency, providing a consistent way to track and compare overall enrollment.
Over the past five years, Salina Area Technical College has experienced significant growth. With a 45.9% increase in student headcount and 44.6% increase in FTE, making it the fastest-growing college within that timeframe.
Technical colleges averaged an increased 38.5% growth in headcount enrollment, outpacing state universities at 3.3% and community colleges at 11.5% within the last five years.
Salina Tech President Dr. Greg Nichols reflected, “this enrollment level is indicative of our commitment to our service area and meeting the student needs.”
